- 3 bay leaves
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
- 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups elbow macaroni noodles, uncooked (240 g)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (120 g)
- Fresh Italian parsley, chopped

In a large stockpot, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off excess grease and set aside.
In the same pot, sauté the diced onion in 1-2 tablespoons of leftover grease until tender, then add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Return the browned beef to the pot and add the water, beef base or bouillon, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, bay leaves, soy sauce, seasoned salt, Italian seasoning, paprika, and black pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
